Native art is an essential tool of tribes with the help of which they represent their culture and heritage to the outside world. In other words Native art can be defined as a reflection of the culture and beliefs of the artists and tribes who crafts its elements. The works of art it consist are full of symbolism, spiritual meanings and offer a purpose. Although initially this art was designed for intertribal functionality but later it evolved as a source of means to understand the lifestyle of these clans. There are many art galleries which are famous for their Native art. 

All the art related with it based on authentic themes. Northwest coast native art consist of wide range of art variety such as animal symbols, rings, masks and paintings. Mostly its authentic art and craft pieces showcase pictures from the legend history. The artist presents an eagle and a thunderbird as common images. That is the unique feature of this art. These images can be regarded as the reflection of indigenous people, their life, and cultures. Most of the art components reflect the spiritual elements that reflect the spiritual life of these people. For example, the presentation of feathers in these works is a symbol of mysticism. The personification of natural elements in the works, including water, air, earth, or animals, is a sign of their regard for Mother Nature. The natives prefer the spiritual and natural side of the human life reflects it in their art.
